The idea of transforming the Historic Cobalt Mining Camp into a world class tourism destination is not a new one. After twenty years in the conceptual stages and with the help of FedNor and NOHFC, the Historic Cobalt Mining Project has moved out of the conceptual stages and started to move into the actual stages of development.

The Historic Cobalt Mining Camp is beginning to reach out to the public and corporate sponsors with the goal of partnering to take the site to the next level of development for the next generation of visitors from across Canada and around the world. HCMC is very keen to partner with affiliates and foundations whose roots are in Cobalt and hold a strong affinity with Mining Companies, Pioneer Banking and Organized Labour. We believe that with a united community/private sponsorship program that the HCMC heritage site can stand as a unique symbol of industry and community working together in Canada.
